Philosophy

The end of all oil

CIMV was founded in 1998, in order to implement its biorefinery technology. It took the company ten years of laboratory work and the construction of the pilot plant in 2006 to develop and validate the process.

The pilot plant allowed to realize several series of process test runs in order to : produce sufficient quantities of lignin, cellulose and sugar syrups for potential industrial partners in order to perform various tests to ensure a commercial use ; optimize the process parameters and test equipment (engineering) ;  participate, as a technology and sample provider, at numerous European programs in order to develop the a bioeconomy.

The R&D team continues its research, targeting new chemical applications and pursuing its innovation quest toward patents and publications.

The CIMV technology is protected by 11 patent family, filed in France and abroad.
